I have an excellent opportunity for a Pre-sales specialist to work for a leading cloud managed service provider. You will be working on bids & customer add on etc in the range of £500k - £2 Million, with the view to progress up to large scale enterprise level bids work £100M
The role will cover the whole data centre portfolio with a focus on cloud technologies such as Vmware & Citrix
Desirable Degree / HND / HNC in a IT related field or relevant industry experience
VMware VSP / VTSP / VCP
Distributed Systems, IBM Midrange, Intel, Linux, , Sun, Unix
Communications (Voice & Data). LAN, WAN, VoIP
Exposure to Major Suppliers Cisco, EMC, HP, IBM, Juniper etc.
Server and Blade Systems
Replication Technology and Vaulting
Knowledge of IT market, Trends and Industry
Networking and Communications
New 2012 product areas in Managed Services to include, SAP, Oracle eBusiness Suite, Hadoop, Oracle Enterprise Linux, XenServer, Inmarge and support for the LAMP stack
Pre-Sales support with technical skills across a number of areas including Virtualisation, High Availability Hosting, Managed Services, Advanced Continuity Solutions, Workplace, Distributed Systems and Communications. Responsible for preparing technical quotations and proposals and presenting these to customers to support the sales targets.
This position will report directly to the PreSales Manager but may be aligned to the Sales teams for day to day operational requirements.
The PreSales person should aim to be the customers trusted advisor, required to undertake the lead in the presentations of technical and commercial solutions, with strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to confidently present at board level
Provision of day-to-day support for the sales organisation, producing technical solutions across a range of products and services including pricing quotations, preparing and writing proposals, Answering ITT/RFI/RFP responses and presenting to customers to influence their buying decision through the professionalism and excellence of response
Using the various tools, Microsoft products, Visio etc. to create a detailed and accurate solution and pricing documentation, within strict timescales whilst meeting the client's technical and business requirements
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of technology and market trends within the IT industry. Specialise in a technology field to advise and educate other Pre-Sales personnel and other departments within the organisation
