vSphere ESXi Server & Desktop Engineer. Small Co. Big Exposure!
Fast Paced, broad challenging role covering x3 main areas :
1) Internal User Support of 40 people across EMEA office based and remote workers
2) Key person from the UK to assist and manage a brand new DR Data-centre for DR/Backup global systems.
3) Partake in "Follow the Sun" Support assisting the US mainly supporting 240 users and following up on admin tasks the US support team did not get to finish.
You will spend 1-2 weeks in the US at the start of your new role meeting the US support team and undergoing systems training from the main data-centre.
You will be be working for a Next Generation Security Software vendor in an internal support role. They have plans to grow you into an IT Security Specialist starting in Customer Support then Professional Services and then eventually Sales Engineering.
I am looking for a UK National as some of the end user clients are TOP Security and will require any person involved to obtain SC Clearance and to have "UK Eyes".
The actual role will be working alongside the office technical client team providing typical Desktop support duties (fixing & setting up laptops, networking, fixing printer issues, working on MS Windows AD for user admin etc) You must be able to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting methodology and structured thinking.
You will be the key resource for the new Disaster Recovery DataCentre involved and will be assisting the Service Provider and colleague from the US set up the new DataCentre involving: working with VMWare ESXi 5.1 Clustering on Blade Servers / SAN Storage, requiring vCloud experience and ideally VCP certification.
