Infrastructure Support Engineer

As the Infrastructure Support Engineer your role with be to deliver excellent technical support and first class customer service support with a high degree of customer satisfaction and timeliness. This role is highly customer focused, and the main drive at all times is to ensure that clients are being regularly contacted and that calls are being processed in a timely manner. You will manage all requests made by customers making sure that these are progressed to resolution within Capita or third party companies and ensure all customers SLA times are met.

Essential Skills

* Breadth of experience providing Infrastructure Support to a 3rd tier level.
* A thorough understanding of routing and network topologies
* Experience in call logging, handling, requests of all types and fault s in an accurate and professional manner.
* Must have strong customer service skills and a high level of good telephone manner, who can work under pressure to deliver a high standard of service when required

Desired Skills

* MCSE 2K 2003 or MCITP
* Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows 2000\2003 and 2008 (desirable)Commercial experience of Microsoft applications including Exchange, IIS, ISA, Proxy Server .
* Knowledge of thin client technology desirable : Citrix Server , Gateway, Terminal Services.
* Detailed working knowledge of standard Internet technologies such as SMTP, DNS (Bind), TCP/IP, NFS
* Detailed working knowledge of backup technology and recovery processes
* Knowledge of Centos Operating System
* Have the desire to improve and develop technical skills
* A thorough understanding of storage technologies such as RAID
* A thorough understanding of routing and network topologies

* Must have strong customer service skills and a high level of good telephone manner, who can work under pressure to deliver a high standard of service when required
