Project Manager Planner / Project Planner – North West England – 1 year contract £450 p/d

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


Management and delivery of plans to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included. Ongoing management of those plans to achieve the delivery goals Work with key stakeholders to manage the deployment of all aspects of the project assigned to Identify and mitigate potential risks for delivery of products Operate as a full member of the team; supporting the Programme Director and other team members as directed Project Manage all aspects of specific work packages. Working with stakeholders to ensure Design; Delivery; Technical Build; testing; MI requirements etc are managed and delivered to date and time Completion of detailed plan for the medium term including MSP; Resources; costs Completion of the detailed design phase to time and quality; working with the Design team to secure stakeholder sign-off at all stages. Development of stakeholder relationship with suppliers; including preparation of joint plans; proposals and any design and build documentation. Completion of the high level plan through to Go Live and BAU handover. Experience in the delivery of projects; with particular emphasis on the management of suppliers and stakeholders Experience of governance and risk control frameworks. Good planning and organisational skills Strong leadership; people and communications skills Possess strong analytical skills with a proven ability to persuade and influence senior decision-making.

To engage with Project/Programme personnel, to understand their service impacting aspirations. Steer and influence the take on and compliance to Service Design Imperatives directing the project to enable take up of standard service, and identify any resulting service gaps that require resolution. To identify any changes to existing Service Design templates, as a result of Digital Transformation To coordinate implementation activity/impacts identified from multiple project plans, and their effect on enterprise live operations, into a single view To capture and track live service events from project meetings, or project personnel and ensure consistency of message and compliance to process Following implementation, summarise through reporting, the latest status for each project with regard to incidents/problems raised, planned changes, live proving checks. TrackinIdentify, capture and articulate emerging enterprise/programme/project level trends/intelligence, and prepare presentational material to communicate to CSD stakeholders Deliverables The formation of a sustainable digital service, centred around a technical WebOps role, aligned to the provision of a cloud Hosting service Status summary report, and a consolidated view of enterprise level activity – Digital and Legacy oversight Summarised view of overall status of implementation/delivery, tracking against a lifecycle, and maintaining a chronological view Risks and Issues report capturing new risks, and highlighting top issues, plus status of existing risks Presentational material supporting emerging findings,


Infrastructure components Application to Service Implementation planning experience and coordination Working with multiple suppliers Well developed experience of supplier management; Implementation lifecycle methodology Strong communication skills MI presentation and reporting compilation Good, general knowledge of the Department’s support contracts e.g. hardware, software etc. Familiar with methods and techniques for managing and influencing senior stakeholders to enable the successful conclusion of complex issues.
