Average salaries for developer jobs vary across the country, with highest salaries found in the City of London. The average nationwide is £40,000 for permanent developer jobs and £425 per day for contract developer jobs.
Developers: Stand out from the crowd
There are many opportunities for developers to stand out from the crowd and make contacts. The easiest and most efficient of these is by attending IT conferences and events. Two events in the UK that are particularly relevant to developers are the Cloud Computing Congress, and the Oracle Technology Day, both hosted in London. The former consists of two days of free workshops and exhibitions on cloud computing, and the latter is an interactive event featuring the latest updates on Oracle.
